Katheryn of Berain Silver - Skull Ribbon Necklace
Made in collaboration with National Museum Wales, the Silver Skull Charm is inspired by the portrait of Katheryn of Berain painted by Adriaen van Cronenbergh (1568). She was a historical figure known as the 'Mother of Wales'.
Hand carved and dramatic, this highly detailed skull is made of solid recycled and hallmarked silver and has been oxidised (blackened) to show all the fine details of the lace pattern which matches Katheryn’s dress sleeves.
The necklace is two layers of black satin ribbon measuring 80cm long with a silver clasp and fittings.
